Call up the Seven Moon Asian Grocery in Spartanburg, (864) 598-0890 and the Asian Grocery, also in Spartanburg (864) 574-6909. One of them MUST know something about “Balik Bayan” boxes. These are rather large boxes you can ship to the Philippines containing, well, anything- LOL- books, clothes, gifts, canned goods, whatever. The Filipinos use these to ship things back to family from time to time, especially Christmas. It can take a couple of months, but it is a large box for around $100. Even a small box from FedEx will exceed that. A shoebox with USPS will be close to $60 (I just sent one last week- $60). If these groceries cannot help you, try the asian restaurants. Someone will know someone who will know about Balik Bayan boxes. You can try the Manila forwarder link I provided, but it is a last effort, as I never used it- just don’t know about it.
